There are two variants of NDI, NDI and NDI|HX. NDI is an I-frame codec with a variable bit rate that achieves around 140 MBit at 1080p60 and is optically lossless. NDI|HX is a compressed H.264 variant with a long GOP, which achieves around 12 MBit at 1080p60.
More than just a production PTZ.
The P4K is a PTZ designed for the most demanding live production shoots and supports all conventional frame rates, including 29.97. Now you can use your PTZ as a camera for TVCs, dramas and for cinematic shots in 24p.

Genlock.
With Genlock, you can now synchronize multiple cameras via the Genlock input. Now all your cameras can access your NDI-enabled vision mixer at the same time and you no longer need to add frame buffers.

The P4K's robotics are precise and reactive. You can reduce the pan and tilt speed to achieve professional, dramatic shots, or you can increase the speed for high-performance sports so you can follow the movements.
360 degree tally lights.
The front, rear and side tally lights together form a 360 degree tally light. This allows everyone on the production set to see which camera is broadcasting live.
PTZ controller.
Combine the P4K with the BirdDog PTZ Keyboard and you have complete remote control of all functions. This is a full-featured controller that can control up to 255 PTZ cameras on a single network and scale even complex installations. The PTZ keyboard can control the P4K via NDI or in SDI mode via RS422/RS232.
