The Vela Rack SDI from Science Image is a versatile multi-protocol encoder/decoder/recorder with a 3.4" high brightness touchscreen display. It can encode 12G-SDI/UHD 4K signals for live streaming with support for RTMP/RTSP/SRT/Full NDI/HX2/HX3. Vela Rack SDI has multiple audio functions, including monitoring, mixing and intercom. It has an integrated tally system and offers bi-directional optical transceiver and USB-A connectivity.
Functions:
- Simultaneous encoding and decoding
- Encoding of 12G-SDI UHD 4K60 and IP video such as RTMP/RTSP/SRT/Full NDI/HX2/HX3. Simultaneously decode NDI so that a camera operator can view and monitor a return signal in real time and synchronize with a director.
- The integrated 3.4-inch touchscreen display with flip function offers high brightness and a resolution of 960 x 412 pixels. It displays natural colors and offers a user-friendly UI for easy and convenient operation with a built-in speaker for intercom/stereo/audio monitor functions.
- 4K recording with optional SSD. Record HD video and up to UHD 4K60 with 10-bit 4:4:4 quality with pause, play, review and fast-forward functions with an optional SSD via an optional Science Image C1 SSD dock. A single drive can record up to 5.5 hours of high quality video.
- The Vela Rack SDI has a 12G-SDI input and a 12G-SDI loop output, an HDMI output, a bidirectional optical transceiver connection and USB-A.
- A 3.5 mm stereo connection enables the connection of microphones and headphones and provides support for intercom, monitoring and mixing functions.
